Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SolidQuote application and website at solidquote.co.uk ("Service"), operated by SolidQuote Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By registering for or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description
SolidQuote is a cloud-based quoting application designed for tradespeople and builders. The Service allows users to create, manage, and share professional quotes with their clients. Features include multi-room quote creation, material and labour tracking, PDF generation, team collaboration, and quote templates.
2. Account Registration
To use SolidQuote, you must register for an account by providing a username and password. If creating a new company workspace, you must also provide a company name. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms. If registering on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
3. Company Accounts and Teams
SolidQuote operates on a per-company basis. The person who creates a company workspace becomes the company administrator ("admin"). Admins can invite team members via an invite code. All team members within a company share access to quotes and company settings.
Admins are responsible for managing team membership, including removing users who should no longer have access. We are not liable for any actions taken by team members within your company workspace.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
SolidQuote offers a free trial period, after which a paid subscription is required to continue using the Service. Subscription details, including pricing and features, are displayed within the application and on our website.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe
- The subscription fee covers your entire company — there is no per-user charge
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing management portal
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.
5. Your Data
You retain ownership of all data you enter into SolidQuote, including client information, quotes, pricing, and uploaded images. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.
You are responsible for ensuring that any personal data you enter into the Service (such as your clients' names and addresses) is collected and processed in compliance with applicable data protection laws. We act as a data processor for client data you enter into quotes.
For details on how we handle personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or company data
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or any harmful content
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may occasionally need to perform maintenance, which could result in temporary downtime.
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from service interruptions, data loss, or technical issues beyond our reasonable control.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- We are not liable for the accuracy of quotes you create or share using the Service — you are responsible for verifying all pricing, measurements, and content before sharing with clients
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
9. Intellectual Property
The SolidQuote application, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is owned by SolidQuote Ltd and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your business purposes.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@solidquote.co.uk. We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach.
Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease. We will retain your data for 30 days following termination, after which it will be permanently deleted unless we are required by law to retain it.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the application or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
